Before software, before electricity, before writing, there was the problem of feeding people. It is the first technology civilization ever built, and still the one none of us can live without.

So craft became industry. A family recipe became a supply chain measured in batches, recipes, certificates, and tolerances. All of it produced at a scale our grandparents could never have imagined, and growing every year.

A single shipment can carry a forty-page quality document: limits, methods, signatures, exceptions. Quality drowns in certificates of analysis. Sales chases spec approvals through endless threads. Procurement decides on prices already out of date.

Forthreeyears,weworkedinsideit.
Not selling software. Sitting with the teams at companies like Synthite, Mane, and McCormick, learning how the work really runs. Every time, the same things were broken. So we stopped building workarounds and started productizing the pain we kept seeing.
LabGenie was shaped on plant floors and in QC labs. Never in a boardroom.
